Meet the Team

Physiotherapist
Richard Van
Richard joined the team in 2013, after graduating from the University of Manitoba. He enjoys working in the Transcona area and takes pride in helping his clients recover form their injuries in the most efficient way possible.
Richard has taken post-graduate courses in orthopedics, Mackenzie Diagnosis & Treatment, acupuncture, Evaluation & Treatment of TMD, Metriks work hardening/reconditioning and various workshops held at the Pan Am Clinic.
Hobbies:
- Eating new foods
- Golf
- Spending time with his wife & kids

Physiotherapist
Keiko Kobayakawa
Keiko graduated with a Master’s of Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba in 2019. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Winnipeg.
She developed an interest in the profession while playing basketball in both Japan and Canada.
Drawing on her physiotherapy training, she helps clients prevent sports injuries and get back to their sport as quickly as possible. Her goal is to help patients get back to the activities they love doing.
Keiko values the importance of continued learning and has taken post-graduate courses in orthopedics, acupuncture and pelvic floor rehabilitation, along with workshops on treatment of the hand, hip and cervical spine.

Physiotherapist
Krishna Patel
Krishnaben or Krishna is a licensed Physiotherapists graduated with a Bachelor’s of Physiotherapy in India in 2017 and went on to work as a physiotherapist there.
In 2018 Krishna immigrated to Ontario, Canada where she completed a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Georgian College. She later moved to Winnipeg where she completed a year-long physiotherapy residency as part of the physiotherapy licensing process and has been working in private practice ever since.
In her spare time, Krishna enjoys travelling, painting, reading and spending quality time with her family.

Registered Massage Therapist
Mikael Gobeil-Filby
Mikael is a Registered Massage Therapist who provides personalized treatments that blend relaxation and therapeutic massage to meet each client's individual needs. His approach combines deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and stretching techniques to help reduce pain, improve mobility, and promote overall well-being.
Mikael has a particular focus on deep tissue therapy and is experienced in treating chronic muscular tension, postural dysfunction, and movement restrictions. Each treatment is guided by a thorough assessment and tailored to the client's presentation and therapeutic goals. Pressure is adjusted throughout the session to ensure treatments are both effective and appropriate for the individual's comfort and clinical needs.

Physiotherapist
Glen Young
Glen Young graduated from the University of Manitoba Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in May 1989. That’s right - it is not a typo; he has been working for 35 years in the private practice setting treating mainly orthopedic/sports conditions.
Glen has taken post education courses in the field of Acupuncture, Trigger Point, Muscle Imbalances, Norwegian Medical Exercise Therapy, Myofascial Release, McKenzie Back exercises, Manual Therapy, Orthopedic and Sports Physiotherapy.

Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Tong Wang
Tong is a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (TCMP) and graduate of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture College of Manitoba. He is an active member of CMAAC.
TCM recognizes that individuals are unique and functions to facilitate the free flow of Qi by correcting imbalances in order to resolve the root cause of dysfunction. Tong utilizes a combination of Chinese herbs, acupuncture, cupping, and nutritional advice to assist you with pain, allergies, headaches and migraines, facial paralysis, digestion, infertility, menstrual concerns, weight loss, and hair loss.

Registered Massage Therapist
Yessenia de Leon
Maternity Leave - returning January 2027
Yessenia is a dedicated Registered Massage Therapist with training in deep tissue, Swedish, pre and post natal, TMJ, sports massage, and myofascial release. She takes a client-centered approach, carefully listening to individual needs to apply the most effective techniques for promoting overall wellness and recovery.
A graduate of Evolve College in 2019, Yessenia is passionate about helping her clients feel their best, whether they are recovering from injuries, managing chronic pain, or simply seeking relaxation.
Outside of work, Yessenia enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and exploring new foods.
